Marshall
Medical Center is presenting “The Heart of Spring”
– A Women’s Heart Health Seminar and dinner
on Tuesday, March 29, 2005, from 5:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Serrano
Country Club in El Dorado Hills.
This is an excellent opportunity for women of El Dorado
County to learn the important information they need to know to
protect themselves from heart disease, the number one killer of
women in the United States. The
keynote speaker will be J. Antonio G. Lopez, MD, a leading
expert on cardiovascular disease and a Marshall affiliated
physician.
The topic of his speech will be Metabolic Syndrome, the
relationship between heart disease, diabetes and obesity.
Diana Penna, health reporter for KOVR Channel 13, will
serve as master of ceremonies for the event.
Local cardiac diagnosis and treatment options will be
discussed.
Businesses featuring women’s products and services will
also be on display. The
cost of this event is $30 and includes a delicious heart-healthy
dinner, access to all exhibits and valet parking.
