Marshall Cancer Program Receives Accreditation from Commission on Cancer

Final Marshall Flu Shot Clinic soon

Saturday, January 13, Marshall Medical Center will be offering its last flu vaccination clinic of the season in Placerville. “The flu season is officially here but it’s not to late to get vaccinated,” said Sue Deal, RN infection control officer at Marshall. “We want to get as many people vaccinated as possible. The flu season hit hard late last winter so we want people to understand that there is still time to get protected and prevent severe illness.”

The clinic will be in Placerville at 1095 Marshall Way at the Marshall Center for Primary Care, directly across from Marshall Hospital. It will run in the morning from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. If you have Medicare and don’t belong to a Medicare HMO, Marshall will bill Medicare directly with no out-of-pocket costs. Otherwise, the cost for the vaccine will be $25. These clinics are for adults, 18 years or older. Parents seeking the vaccine for their children and women who are pregnant should consult their family physicians regarding the flu vaccine. Please check Marshall’s flu hotline at (530) 626-2645 or go to www.marshallmedical.org for more information.
