It’s official. HealthGrades, the nation’s leading healthcare ranking company, recently announced that Marshall Medical Center received the 2008 Distinguished Hospital for Clinical Excellence award.
It’s the second year in a row that Marshall has received the recognition, which means it’s rated in the top 5% hospitals in the nation for overall clinical excellence.
The study is based on examining records from various health and government sources and the outcomes from different diagnoses and procedures at hospitals across the country. There are 27 ratings overall, and the top performing hospitals earn the award. Below is a snap shot of some of the areas studied, and how Marshall ranks.
