Health Promotion is a service of Marshall Medical Center, which includes
licensed and caring experts who provide classes, clinics and resources for
anyone who desires to improve their health and well-being. All are
backed by the high standards of Marshall Medical Center, a fully licensed
and accredited health care provider.
Convenient and Inexpensive
We offer both one-on-one counseling and group classes to meet your
needs. Instruction and workshops are held in Placerville, Cameron
Park and El Dorado Hills. Much of what we offer is covered under
many insurance plans , including Medicare.

Every person we help is unique, and that's why we offer a
variety of programs, including:
Nutrition Education
Our Registered Dietitian is a food and nutrition expert who can
evaluate your current eating and lifestyle choices. Nutrition
Counseling will provide you with a personalized plan that will help
you manage or potentially prevent many illnesses, including diabetes,
heart disease, hypertension, and elevated cholesterol levels.
Weight management and healthful cooking classes are available. |

Diabetes Education
Our Diabetes Education Program has received American Diabetes
Association (ADA) Program Recognition and Certification.
Individual counseling and a workshop series of classes is available to
help you manage your diabetes. |
Women and Children Services
This program provides classes, workshops, and screenings for women in
every stage of life. |

Healthworks
Healthworks, a wellness and prevention program, offers Health Risk
Assessments and Wellness Screenings to businesses and the
community. Health Risk Assessments are designed to help evaluate
an individual's current lifestyle, identify health risks, decide where
and how to make improvements and design a Personal Wellness
Program. Wellness screenings are invaluable tools for
identifying risks such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes,
osteoporosis and more. |
