Currently, Good is the director of a 4 million-dollar capital campaign to expand Marshall Medical Center's emergency services and community health. The campaign is in the “community” phase and is working directly with a community leadership cabinet to garner support for this essential project. The success will bring needed upgrades and expansion of emergency services. In addition, Good is assisting a cabinet of key physicians to solicit Marshall’s medical staff. As of April 2007, the campaign has raised over $2,408,000 from its boards, employees, Auxiliary, physicians and community leaders.

In 2001, Good completed another successful campaign to provide million-dollar digital subtraction angiography (DSA) equipment for Marshall Medical Center. She ensured the effort provided residents with access to digital state-of-the-art diagnosis and treatment locally. With this campaign complete, she moved on to provide increased access to defibrillation through the “Straight To The Heart”® campaign to place AEDs with first responders and in public areas throughout El Dorado County.

In April 2003, Good was faced with another challenge that soon became a passion…to educate the community and its leaders about Ovarian Cancer, a disease that is often left undetected because its symptoms are so quiet and subtle. With the help of businessman, Dave Machado, the El Dorado County Ovarian Cancer Coalition was established to provide both public education and personal support for newly diagnosed patients. That same year, as the result of a charitable bequest, Good bridged the gap between services not routinely covered for respiratory patients and began a community service to provide respiratory patients and their caregivers a helping hand through therapy in the home.

With the help of long-time friend Earline Gutenberger, Good began the Strength for the Journey…surviving sudden loss program in 2004 that is geared toward providing coordinated, community-based support and services to help individuals and families find hope and comfort. The program now includes 24/7 support for the Marshall’s emergency and ICU departments.

Her focus continues to be on reaching the unmet health needs of the community.

In 1997-99, Good directed another capital campaign, which raised over 1.3 million dollars while working as the Director of Development for Sutter Amador Hospital in Jackson, California. While there she was first vice-president of the Amador County Women’s Network, Chairperson of the Forget-Me-Not program on breast-health awareness for El Dorado County and actively involved with the Amador County Kiwanis organization.

Good continues to be energetically involved in the community and works closely with its members to stimulate needed resources. She is an active member of the Sacramento Chapter of the Association for Fundraising Professionals (AFP) in addition to the Association of Healthcare Professionals (AHP) and the Placerville Kiwanis Club.

A resident of El Dorado County for 31 years, she is the mother of three children, two step-children, and eight grandchildren. She now resides in Pleasant Valley with her husband, Ed Good. They are actively engaged in developing mentor and leadership skills for independent business owners in affiliate marketing field. God and family are of most importance in their lives, and they love to spend time traveling and enjoying each other.
