Valuables If possible, please leave valuables at home. Any valuables that you have should be stored in the unit safe while your are here, if family members are unable to take them home. Ask your nurse for a bag, which will be tagged with your name and bed number and placed in the safe. Dentures an Hearing Aids Please be especially careful of your dentures and hearing aids. Frequently patients wrap these items in tissue or napkins, and they get lost in the laundry or thrown away accidentally with the disposal of food. Ask your nurse for a denture cup and keep it in your bedside table. Lost and Found Items lost or misplaced are taken to the security department where they are kept for 30 days. After this, appropriate items are given to local charity. Please call (530) 626-2812 or extension 2812 for assistance. Smoking Smoking is not allowed in the hospital buildings. If you have your physician's permission and are physically able, you may be able to smoke in the designated area on the patio.
