As a full service, acute-care hospital, Marshall Medical Center provides
a wide range of surgical procedures by board-certified general surgeons
to treat malignancies. Marshall General Surgery physicians see and evaluate
patients at offices in Cameron Park and Placerville. They perform surgery
and procedures at the Outpatient Surgery center in Cameron Park, or at
Marshall Hospital in Placerville, depending on the nature and extent of
the surgery. Patients can benefit from options for minimally invasive
surgery when appropriate, including skilled and experienced surgeons certified
to operate using our daVinci robotically-assisted surgical system.
Marshall’s general surgeons –
Richard Detwiler, MD,
Robin Locke, MD, and
Craig Thayer, MD – have extensive experience with surgical treatment of malignancies.
They work in concert with the rest of the cancer team to attack the disease
in the most appropriate way and in the best interest of each patient.
