Marshall Orthopedics Welcomes Fellowship Trained Surgeon Brandon Beamer, Md

August 15, 2016—Placerville-based Marshall Medical Orthopedics has welcomed fellowshiptrained surgeon Brandon Beamer, MD to its team of board certified orthopedic specialists. Dr. Beamer joins Marshall after completing his fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine at Stanford University and serving as assistant team physician for Stanford Athletics and the San Francisco 49ers.

Dr. Beamer, a native of Rocklin, has completed his journey back to his beloved foothill region to serve not only the western slope but the greater Sacramento region, and bring additional innovative procedures and top-flight training to Marshall’s patients. He complements an established team of orthopedic surgeons Stephen Cyphers MD, Troy Dickson MD, Chris Molitor MD, and Taylor Vance MD, and looks forward to adding his own areas of emphasis to the orthopedic group.

“We’re excited to have Dr. Beamer join our team. When recruiting new providers, we look not only for the outstanding education, advanced training and strong skills that he brings, but also the right temperament—the passion and commitment to make a difference in our community and the greater Sacramento region, and he meets all those areas with flying colors,” Says Dr. Cyphers, president of Western Sierra Orthopedic Center, which provides medical services to Marshall.

As for the newest addition to the team, Dr. Beamer echoes the enthusiasm of his colleagues. “What excites me so much about returning to this region is being able to serve in an active, family-focused community,” he says. “I want each patient I see to feel as if they are receiving the same level of care I provided to world-class athletes, because that’s the kind of focus I bring.”

Dr. Beamer completed his medical degree at Cornell University, New York and his Orthopedic Residency at Harvard University. He then returned to California to accept the sports medicine fellowship at Stanford. He is one of the only orthopedic surgeons in Northern California Fellowship trained in hip arthroscopy, a minimally invasive procedure designed for younger, active patients, which may prevent the need for joint replacement surgery later in life.

Dr. Beamer specializes in innovative procedures including arthroscopic surgeries tailored to active individuals of all ages who need to maintain their energetic lifestyles. His focus is on minimally-invasive approaches to improve post-surgical function and recovery time. However, he also performs general orthopedic surgery as well as knee, shoulder and hip replacements for patients for whom that is the best option. In addition, he will join fellow Marshall physicians providing call coverage for Marshall’s Emergency Department and Trauma Center.
