Marshall Adds Three Physicians to Family Practice Clinics

Steven Mills, MD

A busy year turned especially active for Marshall, when the El Dorado County healthcare provider added three doctors to its family practice clinics.

Steven Mills, MD, joined Marshall Family Medicine of El Dorado Hills as an experienced physician with a traditional and integrative approach. He arrives from MACT Medical Center in Jackson, where he served as both practitioner and clinic manager.

Tonantzin E. (Tona) Rodriguez, MD, MPH, served as chief resident of the Sutter Health Family Medicine Residency Program in Sacramento. She joins Marshall Sierra Primary Medicine in Placerville.

Placerville’s Marshall Family Medicine welcomes Emilie Riddle, MD, at its newest physician. She arrives from Cookeville, Tenn., where she owned a family practice and served as medical director of a homecare agency.

By the end of the year 11 new full-time practitioners will have begun seeing patients at Marshall clinics.

“Primary care doctors in the Western Slope (of El Dorado County) have grown to full practices so it is getting hard for our community to find doctors,” Marshall CEO James Whipple said. “Adding providers in El Dorado Hills and Placerville will greatly relieve that problem.”
