Tona Rodriguez, MD, MPH is a licensed family medicine physician caring
for patients of all ages at Marshall Medical Sierra Family Medicine in
Placerville. She arrives at Marshall after serving as Chief Resident of
the Sutter Health Family Medicine Program.
Raised in Marysville, Dr. Rodriguez takes pride in promoting preventive
medicine and “treating patients like family.” She has a great
interest in women’s and pediatric health. She earned her Bachelor’s
of Science in Physical Anthropology from UC Davis in 2004. She earned
a Master’s of Public Health from Fresno State three years later
before completing her medical degree at UC Davis in 2014.
Dr. Rodriguez has captured numerous awards and honors, including the UC
Davis School of Medicine Academic Medicine Award. She spent several years
volunteering at a free clinic in Sacramento, providing care for the uninsured.
Professional affiliations include the American Medical Association and
the National Hispanic Medical Foundation. Outside of practice, she enjoys
running half-marathons and spending time with her husband and young daughter.
