About Matthew Cole
Matthew Cole, MD, MPH, joined Marshall Gastroenterology in 2017 after a career journey throughout the country and beyond. The board certified physician moved from Seattle where he spent five years with Kaiser Permanente.
Board certified in both gastroenterology and internal medicine, Dr. Cole specializes in treating all facets of general gastroenterology. He has additional experience treating patients with inflammatory bowel disease.
A 1995 graduate of Brandeis University (B.S. in Biology), Dr. Cole grew up in Los Angeles. In 2001 he earned a medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine. He collected a Master’s of Public Health in 2006 from Dartmouth. In between, he completed his internal medicine internship and residency from Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H. His gastroenterology fellowship training was completed through the University of Florida.
Raising two children with his wife occupies much of Dr. Cole’s time outside of work. His free time includes road cycling and learning Mandarin Chinese.
