Loni Jay, MD is a licensed family medicine physician caring for patients
at Marshall Clinically Assisted Recovery and Education Services (CARES),
which treats all forms of substance use disorders including alcohol, tobacco,
benzodiazepine, methamphetamines and opioid use and abuse.
She performs a wide variety of medical procedures, including Botox injections
for chronic headaches and Suboxone treatment (Buprenorphine) for both
narcotic dependence and chronic pain management. She also treats hepatitis C.
Dr. Jay attended the University of Nevada, where she double majored in
chemistry and English. She then went on to complete medical school at
the University of Utah School of Medicine and her family medicine residency
at Sutter Health. During her medical schooling, Dr. Jay received grants
and awards for her excellent work and served as class president of her
In her leisure time, Dr. Joy enjoys running, hiking, biking, kayaking,
backpacking, reading, painting, and gardening. At home, she enjoys spending
time with her husband and daughter.
