Russell Jacoby, MD, is a board certified gastroenterologist. Before coming
to Marshall, he worked at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics.
He received his MS in molecular biology from the University of Chicago
in 1978 and his MD with Honors from the New York University School of
Medicine in 1984. Since then, he’s received numerous appointments
and fellowships, reflecting his skill and expertise. Dr. Jacoby is a diplomat
of the National Board of Medical Examiners; American Board of Internal
Medicine; and American Board of Internal Medicine – Gastroenterology.
Passionate about his patients and his medical field, Dr. Jacoby founded
the Colon Cancer Prevention Program. Together with his wife, nurse Carolyn
Cole, he also serves on the board of the Hereditary Colon Cancer Association.
A sought-after speaker and expert in his field, Dr. Jacoby has advised,
among others, the White House, American Cancer Society and National Institute
of Health. He’s a member of the Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy
and the American Gastroenterological Association.
