Robin Locke, MD, is an experienced general surgeon providing a wide scope
of surgical care for both planned and emergent surgery needs, including
endoscopic and laparoscopic procedures, surgical treatment of malignancies,
sclerotherapy and specialty procedures of Chrohn’s disease, ulcerative
colitis and other conditions. He has been closely affiliated with Marshall
Medical Center since 1985. In 2012, Dr. Locke helped form Marshall General Surgery.
Dr. Locke is a Vietnam veteran who earned his undergraduate degree from
Fresno State before earning a doctor of medicine degree from UC Davis.
He then completed his surgery residency at UCLA. Since joining Marshall,
Dr. Locke has served in a number of capacities, including Chief of Surgery
and Chief of Staff. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery.
He performs robotic-assisted laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Locke, who has
more than 30 years experience, takes pride in having learned new approaches
to surgeries through robotics.
He has enjoyed raising his family and practicing in El Dorado County. He
and his wife, Linda, are proud of their blended family, which includes
12 children and 29 grandchildren. Dr. Locke enjoys biking, reading, wood-working
and family gatherings.
