John V. Montorello, MD

About John Montorello

John V. Montorello, MD, is a board certified urologist treating a wide range of urological conditions and disorders. Prior to beginning his medical education, Dr. Montorello served in both the United States Army and the Air Force. His military experience was broad, including time as an Air Defense platoon leader in the army, a B-52 Gunner and later as a Flight Surgeon in the Air Force. He retired in 2013 as the Chief of Urology at Travis Air Force Base after 23 years of service.

He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Illinois University and his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Md.

Dr. Montorello completed post graduate specialty training in Urology at Wilford Hall Medical Center, Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. His professional experience includes general and urologic trauma care in combat situations in Afghanistan, as well as clinical experience at Elmendorf Air Force Base Hospital in Anchorage, Alaska, and David Grant Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base in California.

When he’s not working, Dr. Montorello enjoys running marathons, cycling, riding his motorcycles and scuba diving.
