Alexander Massey, MD

About Alexander Massey

Alexander Massey, MD, formed Marshall Pulmonology. He is board certified in pulmonary medicine and critical care medicine, providing a wide scope of care to his patients. Born in Rhode Island and raised in Connecticut, Dr. Massey moved to the West Coast in the 80s and earned his medical degree from UC Davis. He went on to fellowships in pulmonary and critical care medicine at UC Davis Medical Center.

He joined Marshall Medical in 1998. In that time, Dr. Massey has been very active in ensuring the excellent and life-saving care that the most critical and fragile patients at Marshall receive. He offers pulmonary care, critical care, sleep medicine and infectious disease treatment to patients.Dr. Massey serves in a number of capacities at Marshall: Infection Control Committee, Medical Director; Pulmonary Function, Lab Medical Director; Respiratory Care Program, Director. In addition to providing all aspects of pulmonary and critical care medicine, Dr. Massey also is an expert in many other diagnostic methods, including pulmonary function testing, flexible bronchoscopy, PET and CT scans.

In his leisure time, Dr. Massey enjoys mountain biking, gardening and skiing. He is married to an internal medicine physician, and they have two daughters.
