Video Link: https://www.marshallmedical.org/~/services/orthopedics-sports-medicine/total-joint-class/
The class is designed to prepare you and your caregiver for your hospitalization and recovery period. You will learn what to expect during your hospital stay and how to actively participate in your care. You will learn exercises that will strengthen and help prepare your body for surgery and your recovery period. Preoperative classes have been shown to reduce the time required for the healing process.
Please ensure your Support Person watches the video with you. Your Support Person should be the person that will care for you after your surgery, if possible.
The online version of the class is not interactive – if you have any questions about the class itself or concerning the basic content of the class, please write them down and contact Community Health Education. Questions that are specific to your medical record (i.e. what kind of anesthesia will I receive, etc.) should be directed to your surgery care team.
If you have trouble viewing the video version of the class or decide you would like to attend the in-person class after all, please don’t hesitate to schedule at (530) 626-2990.
Thank you for choosing Marshall Medical and we look forward to being a part of your care.
