About Adil Hassan
Adil Hassan, MD joined Marshall Cardiology in September 2025. His areas of focus are arrhythmias, congenital heart disease, and advanced heart failure. Dr. Hassan strives to provide evidence-based care while taking the time necessary to listen to his patients and their families. He believes the best care comes from clear communication and mutual decision making, and he aims to be the best advocate for his patients’ health.
What Dr. Hassan finds most rewarding is seeing his patients improve and reclaim their lives. Conditions like atrial fibrillation and heart failure can be significantly debilitating; watching his patients return to the activities they enjoy and feel like themselves again is what makes his work so fulfilling.
Dr. Hassan completed his undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of Missouri in Kansas City, and his internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at the University of Iowa hospitals and clinics. Active in clinical research and quality improvement projects, Dr. Hassan has published numerous papers and abstracts and was one of only four cases invited to present at the European Society of Cardiology Congress’ 2021 Best Clinical Case Awards Session.
Dr. Hassan’s service work has included time as a volunteer clinician for a mobile clinic service primarily caring for uninsured and underserved populations of Iowa City, as well as mentoring and education work, and service in communities in Nicaragua and Peru.
Outside of the office, Dr. Hassan’s hobbies include wood working, photography, gardening, and skiing. He is fluent in Urdu/Hindi.
