Marshall is the official medical provider of the ski clinic at Sierra-at-Tahoe, the closest major ski area to Sacramento and the Bay Area. Staffed by Marshall's well-trained and experienced professionals, the clinic cares for skiers and snowboarders with a variety of injuries, ensuring they receive the care they need to return to the slopes as quickly and safely as possible.

Injuries commonly seen in the clinic include:

  • dislocated shoulders
  • broken collarbones
  • knee ligament injuries
  • ankle fractures
  • rib injuries
  • suspected concussions

The Marshall Ski Clinic is staffed by a five-person team comprised of an emergency department-trained physician assistant, a medical assistant, licensed vocation nurses, and an imaging technician. The clinic team is supported by Marshall’s world-class sports injury specialists, state-of-the-art physical therapy facilities, and emergency physicians at Marshall hospital.

Patients treated at the Marshall Ski Clinic receive documentation and instructions for follow-up care, and typically are contacted by phone after their visit to check on recovery and reinforce next steps.
