About Megan Galloway
Megan Galloway, CNM joined Marshall’s Placerville OB/GYN practice in 2025. As a Certified Nurse Midwife, her primary focus is in obstetrics, but Megan is fully trained in nearly all manner of gynecological care, including birth control, period concerns, pap smears, and hormone health, among others. Her goal is to ensure that every woman under her care leaves feeling safe, educated, and empowered.
“As a young girl, I frequently heard that labor & delivery nurses were "make or break" for women's birth experiences. I knew I wanted to be someone who "made" someone's experience. In college, I learned what a nurse midwife was, and I knew it was the career for me. I am passionate about caring for women, in educating them about their bodies, and in empowering them through their healthcare journey. Childbirth is miraculous, and I am honored that while very few people are welcomed into the family's experience, I am one of the few. Midwifery is about relationships with women and their families. I love that as an OB/GYN provider I get to work with women of all ages for more than just pregnancy, but for all their women's health needs.”
Megan attended Truman State University before completing graduate school at the University of Colorado, Anschutz. Prior to her work as a CNM, Megan worked as both a mom/baby/gyn RN and a labor & delivery RN.
Megan and her family live in Truckee where they enjoy everything mountain living has to offer. She loves kickboxing and weightlifting at the gym, paddle boarding, and skiing. Megan is originally from Kansas City, MO, though, so you will find she is "Midwest nice" and will always cheer for the Chiefs!
