He takes pride in showing a personal touch while practicing up-to-date, evidence-based medicine.  Dr. Barba especially enjoys working with the elderly, focusing on quality of life through the senior years.

Dr. Barba balances work with a busy home life in Placerville, where he and Kate are raising teenage twins. Dr. Barba can be found cooking, gardening or completing home improvement projects. He enjoys the outdoors, especially trail running, skiing and sailing. When he is not working, odds are he is travelling.  Together, he and his family have seen 20 states, ten national parks and over 40 countries.
