Marshall to Host Workshop: What to Know About End-Of-Life Care, How to Create an Official Directive Among Topics

Oct. 21, 2016 — On Nov. 1, Marshall will host a class that explains the details of POLST (Physician Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatment) and Advance Directives. Anyone from the community looking to learn about these legal end-of-life care documents is encouraged to attend.

Facilitated by Marshall Social Worker Lhia Casazza, MSW, the event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon at Marshall Cameron Park, 3581 Palmer Dr. Ste. 501. Admission is free, but space is limited to 28 people. A top priority of the event is to teach participants how to initiate discussions with family members about such important but sensitive topics.
