Matter of Balance Fall Prevention Series
About This Event

This 8-session workshop is an evidence-based fall prevention program designed to build your balance, flexibility, and confidence around falls. You'll learn to address fears and concerns about falling, review common home and environmental hazards, discuss fall prevention tips and tricks, and perform exercises and strategies to help prevent you from falling.
This workshop is designed for those 60 years and older. Classes meet once a week for 8 weeks.
Please discuss with your physician whether this class is appropriate for you if:
- you have any health issues that impair physical activity
- you do not live in a house or apartment
- you are unable to walk without the assistance of another person
- you use a walker, scooter, or wheelchair indoors
- if you have fallen six or more times in the past year
- if you are unable to climb a flight of stairs
- if you have been diagnosed with a cognitive impairment
Class sessions are as follows:
- March 21 - May 9, 2025 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
- July 18 - September 5, 2025 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
- October 17 - December 12, 2025 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
There is no charge for this class, however, registration is required.
