Our Approach to Hearing LossAudiologist Conducting Hearing Test

Many people don’t realize they have hearing loss until it becomes a problem. Our services include a complete hearing profile and assessment as well as a medical referral for hearing technology services if necessary. While hearing loss cannot be reversed, hearing aids and cochlear implants have allowed thousands to overcome their hearing issues.

Hearing Aid Evaluation

Our audiologists provide a free hearing aid consultation for patients and their family members. During this appointment, the audiologist will review your hearing needs, preferences, and budget to help determine the most appropriate hearing aid options. The consultation typically lasts about one hour and requires a recent hearing test confirming hearing loss.

In some cases, a medical clearance from an Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) physician may be required before hearing aids can be fitted. Insurance coverage for hearing aids varies by plan. We recommend contacting your insurance provider before your consultation to verify any hearing aid benefits and coverage. 

Once hearing aids are selected, the audiologist will ensure they are properly fitted using Real-Ear Measurements (REM), a probe microphone verification method that provides a customized fitting based on your specific hearing needs. 

The hearing aid fitting process typically includes at least three appointments during the trial period to ensure the best fit and performance. 

As required by California state law, all hearing aids include a 45-day right-to-return period.
