Nathan Woolsey, MD

About Nathan Woolsey

Nathan Woolsey, MD, is a board certified general surgeon, in practice since 2009. Dr. Woolsey earned his undergraduate degree in biology from Pepperdine University. He then went on to pursue his medical degree from Michigan State College of Human Medicine after completing a one year post-baccalaureate program in Medical Sciences. He completed his internship, residency, and chief residency in surgery at UCSF Fresno, before spending two years working as a rural general surgeon in Susanville, California. For the past five years, he has been working as an acute care surgeon and trauma surgeon in Marysville, California.

Dr. Woolsey also has provided his expertise in teaching and public service endeavors, including past work in El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and community service to underserved populations in Michigan.

Away from work, Dr. Woolsey enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons. With his family, he treasures taking walks, riding scooters, playing soccer and basketball. Dr. Woolsey enjoys watching NBA games, PGA events and the NFL. He has climbed Yosemite’s infamous Half Dome twice, and has completed multiple half marathons.
