About Robert Jarka
Robert Jarka, MD, serves as the staff anesthesiologist at ambulatory surgery centers in Placerville and Jackson. At each location, he takes appointments to perform pain management injections. Dr. Jarka is a former Chief of Anesthesia at Marshall Hospital, where he also served as Secretary of the Medical Staff.
Board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, Dr. Jarka was born in Grand Rapids, Mich. He earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Notre Dame before completing his medical degree studies at Washington University in St. Louis. He finished his residency at UC Davis Medical School.
A former assistant professor at UC Davis Medical Center (1989-1997), Dr, Jarka has earned numerous honors. In 2004, readers of the Mountain Democrat voted him “Best Medical Professional in El Dorado County.” Professional organizations include the American Medical Association and American Society of Anesthesiologists.
