Troy Dickson, MD

About Troy Dickson

Troy Dickson, MD, knows stability. He joined Marshall Orthopedics in 2005 right after completing his residency. He’s stayed ever since (aside from one year practicing in India). He arrived at Marshall after earning medical school, internship and residency certification from Loma Linda University. He graduated from Willamette University with a degree in physics.

Dr. Dickson is Board Certified with the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Professional affiliations include the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the Christian Medical & Dental Associates. Dr. Dickson typically performs 60 varieties of surgery per-year. They range from minimally invasive surgeries of the joints, to total hip and knee replacements, to decompressions of pinched nerves.

Dr. Dickson believes in hearing each patient’s story, followed by a personalized physical examination. He sees his role as a mixture of coach, teacher and mechanic. He specializes in a cautious approach: He often recommends non-surgical methods – injections, medications, physical therapy – or the most conservative surgery possible.

He and his wife, Kim, have two daughters. When not in practice, he can be found enjoying photography, traveling, skiing and reading.
