Marshall Medical Offers Falling Prevention Advice for Seniors

Nov. 30, 2016 — Over 2.8 million people age 65 and older are treated each year in emergency rooms for falling injuries, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Marshall wants to reduce these numbers.

In partnership with UC Davis Medical Center, Marshall will present a fall prevention class designed to manage falls and increase activity levels. Adults age 65 and older are welcome to join the series, which will run each Tuesday from Jan. 24 to March 7, 2017 at 3581 Palmer Dr, Ste. 600 in Cameron Park. The class will offer fun and interactive lessons for seniors who have either suffered falls or who wish to avoid them.

While admission is free, preregistration is required by calling 530-626-2990.
