MARSHALL RECOGNIZED ON FORBES TOP HOSPITALS 2026

PLACERVILLE, CA (April 13, 2026) – Forbes, the iconic business magazine and global media giant, has recognized Marshall on its Top Hospitals 2026 list. This prestigious listing focuses on healthcare quality measures that assess patient outcomes, hospital best practices, value, and patient experience. Recognition on the list reflects work taking place across Marshall’s organization.

According to Forbes, this inaugural listing of general acute care hospitals in the United States was designed to offer consumers unbiased information on which hospitals offer top-notch, high value medical services, and a benchmark against which hospitals can compare their performance to that of their peers.

“What makes this recognition so gratifying,” says Siri Nelson, Marshall’s President and CEO, “is that the criteria looked at everything from our emergency, surgical, and stroke care, for example, to the work of our environmental services and hospital discharge teams. It is truly a recognition of the extraordinary work of our organization as a whole.”

To develop its ranking, Forbes analyzed data from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Provider Data Catalog (PDC). Detailed evaluation criteria were chosen specifically because they have been developed and regularly tested by leaders in the healthcare community to meet rigorous national standards. Approximately 5,400 general acute hospitals were eligible for consideration. Of that initial pool, just under half met the inclusion criteria. Across the United States, only1,298 facilities received a rating of three stars and above.
