Frequently Asked Questions
Marshall Outpatient Rehabilitation
The following are answers to questions we frequently receive from first time outpatient rehabilitations patients at Marshall.
How long will appointments be?
Your initial evaluation will take about an hour; follow up appointments
are between 30-45 minutes depending on your condition.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Bring your physician referral, current medication list, insurance card,
and photo identification, along with any co-payment required. If you are
not already dressed appropriately (see below), bring a change of clothing
for your appointment.
What should I wear?
Wear loose, comfortable clothing suitable to the area being treated. For
example, if you're being seen for your knee or ankle, wear shorts or pants
you can easily roll up. If you're being seen for your hip or lower back,
wear clothing that can be rolled down at the waist. For shoulders, upper
back or neck, wear a button up shirt that can be flipped around.
Will my insurance cover this?
As a courtesy we will verify all medical benefits prior to your appointment.
What if I cannot afford my copays or treatment at this time?
Marshall has several programs in place to help, including the Marshall
Discount Plan. The billing department can also set up a monthly payment
plan for you. Our therapists will work with you to design a treatment
plan that will address your health needs and your economic situation.
Do I need a referral to use your services?
Yes, you need a referral from your physician to initiate therapy. Referrals
from nurse practitioners are also acceptable. We cannot accept referrals
from chiropractors.
