Featured Services

At Marshall Outpatient Rehabilitation Services, we treat a complete range of conditions that can impact your quality of life and independence. We're on the cutting edge of treatments in many areas, including the conditions mentioned below.

Sports Orthopedics

Orthopedic injuries can range from long-standing issues to recent trauma. In sports orthopedic physical therapy, the focus extends beyond merely addressing symptoms—it targets the root cause to help prevent future injuries. Through sport-specific, functional movement exercises and specialized manual therapy, patients are guided toward full recovery and empowered to reach their peak performance and beyond.

Fall Prevention

  • Are you feeling unsteady when you walk?
  • Are you stumbling when you walk?
  • Do you have to grab onto walls and furniture to keep your balance?
  • Have you had any falls?

If you answered yes to any of these questions you may benefit from a balance assessment from one of our physical therapists. Our physical therapists can address the areas that are causing your balance problems and formulate an individualized exercise program designed to help you regain steady footing. This may involve a combination of stretches, strengthening exercises and gait training. Your progress will be measured throughout the course of your rehabilitation. The ultimate goal of the program is to make you feel safe, confident, and secure when performing your daily activities. Watch this KVIE video "Before the Fall".

Vertigo

  • Are you experiencing wooziness, lightheadedness, dizziness or a foggy sensation in your head?
  • Do you feel the world spinning or are you staggering when you walk?
  • Are you getting temporary blurriness of your vision when you move your head?

This may indicate you are having symptoms of vertigo. A thorough physical therapy evaluation can help us diagnose the cause of your vertigo. After learning more about you and your condition, our physical therapists can develop a treatment plan designed to alleviate the more debilitating symptoms.

Urinary Incontinence

Despite what many people believe, urinary incontinence is not part of normal aging. If you avoid social gathering or limit your daily activities due to incontinence, we have a program for you. Our continence improvement program begins with a thorough assessment to identify the causes of bladder incontinence. We will instruct you in an enhanced pelvic musculature program followed by a noninvasive electrical stimulation program to maximize results. This program can benefit patients of any age.

Women’s Health

  • Do you experience any loss of urine whether with activity or the urge to go to the bathroom?
  • Do you experience pelvic pain with examination or during intercourse?
  • Do you have a sensation of pelvic or vaginal pressure or heaviness?
  • Do you feel like things just aren't "the same" since giving birth or during the menopausal transition?

Pelvic floor dysfunction affects more than 25% of women in the United States and 50% of women who have had at least 1 vaginal or cesarean delivery. Pelvic floor dysfunction continues to be an underreported and prevalent issue, especially as women age, that can affect quality of life. This includes limiting time outside of the home for social and community involvement, impacting intimate relationships, and reducing physical activity. These changes can have impacts on a woman's greater overall health. Physical therapy can make a profound impact on a patient's symptoms and help restore normal bowel and bladder control and function, reduce pelvic or vaginal pain and pressure, and improve pelvic girdle and core strength to help patients get back to the lives they love.
