Martin is the interim Chief Executive Officer for Marshall. He is responsible for leading the organization’s overall strategy, operations, and performance to ensure high-quality patient care, strong financial stewardship, and coordination with medical staff, clinical services, and administrative functions as well as driving expanded access to care across El Dorado County, strengthening service lines, guiding organizational growth and transformation, overseeing workforce development, and maintaining regulatory and quality compliance.
Martin believes in fostering a culture that supports physicians, employees, and community partners in advancing Marshall’s mission to improve health and well-being in the region.
He received his medical degree from the University of Birmingham in the UK, trained in trauma surgery as a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and undertook military service in the British Army before switching to focus on health systems management and delivery of care to rural populations.
