About
icole Lamm, RN, MSN, MBA, began her nursing career after earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Franciscan University of Steubenville. She completed a new graduate training program in emergency nursing and spent eight years in the Emergency Department before cross-training in the Intensive Care Unit. Her experience in critical care strengthened her clinical expertise and reinforced the importance of collaboration and cross-departmental teamwork.
Driven by a passion for continuous improvement, Nicole became actively involved in Kaizen initiatives, committees, and organizational improvement projects. Her commitment to enhancing patient care led to her appointment as Quality Improvement Coordinator, where she partnered closely with clinical leaders to improve quality outcomes, review patient care, and provide education and support to frontline staff. She found great fulfillment in helping nurses feel recognized, supported, and empowered in their practice.
Nicole's success in quality improvement led to her transition into leadership as Emergency Department Manager, a role she held for six years. Although she continues to value her years at the bedside, she discovered a passion for supporting and developing the teams who deliver exceptional patient care every day.
She later expanded her leadership experience by managing two outpatient clinics, gaining valuable insight into ambulatory care after years of hospital-based practice. Two years later, Nicole joined Marshall as Director of Emergency Services, overseeing both the Emergency Department and Trauma Program. Over the past five years, her leadership responsibilities have grown to include the Birth Center, Respiratory Therapy, and Surgical Services. During this time, she has also mentored emerging leaders across the organization while earning both a Master of Science in Nursing and a Master of Business Administration from Grand Canyon University.
As Interim Chief Nursing Officer, Nicole is honored to serve Marshall's caregivers and clinical teams. She is grateful for the leadership and mentorship of her predecessor and remains committed to fostering a people-first culture while advancing Marshall's mission of helping the community achieve its highest possible level of health and well-being. Nicole believes the organization's greatest strength lies in its people and is dedicated to leading through collaboration, supporting those closest to the work, and building an even stronger healthcare system for the future.
