Our staff includes nine cardiology providers serving El Dorado County, with offices located in Placerville, Cameron Park, and El Dorado Hills. Services are aimed at both preventative care and rehabilitative programs following a cardiac event.

Meet Our Cardiology Team

  • Lena Avedissian, MD, is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular CT, cardiovascular disease, echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. Prior to joining Marshall, Dr. Avedissian served as a staff internist physician at Vicenza Health Clinic in Vicenza, Italy.
  • Debra Bugbee, RN, FNP, joined Marshall Cardiology’s Cameron Park office in 2010. Her responsibilities include overseeing its Coumadin clinic. She is passionate about patient education and prevention.
  • Stanley Henjum, MD, is a board certified cardiologist. He provides general cardiology care including diagnostic cardiac catheterizations. Dr. Henjum also specializes in implanting ventricular pacemakers and defibrilators.
  • Kristin Sornborger, RN, MSM, FNP-BC has been a Registered Nurse for 18 years since receiving a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Sacramento State in 1993.
  • Uygur Tekin, MD, is board certified in cardiology, critical care medicine and internal medicine. His experience handling critically ill patients helps him in caring for his cardiology patients.
  • Scott A. Vasconcellos, MD is a board certified cardiologist. His focus includes coronary artery disease, heart failure, heart rhythm disorders, implantable cardiac devices (pacemakers), valvular heart disease, echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology.
  • Scott Yoder, MD is a board certified cardiologist specializes in cardiology during pregnancy, as well as advanced heart failure. His other special interests include nuclear cardiac imaging and risk assessment in diabetic patients.
  • Wendy Wells, MSN, FNP, is a licensed Family Nurse Practitioner. She has a diverse clinical background, which includes urgent and emergency room care, internal medicine and cardiology.
  • Daming Zhu, MD is a board-certified cardiologist. Dr. Zhu’s special interests include lipid disorders, preventive cardiology, stress-induced cardiomyopathy, and cardiac imaging.
