This powerful and enlightening 8 hour comprehensive course is presented by the El Dorado County Mental Health Department.
It focuses on major health issues in today's society, including how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders. You will be introduced to the various challenges a person faces when dealing with family, friends and our general community, as well as effective strategies. Subjects covered include: bipolar disorder; psychosis; suicidal thoughts; anxiety; eating disorders; depression; substance use issues, etc.
This class will occur on the following dates:
- Mar 15 - 16 (Wed and Thur) from 1:00 - 5:00 pm
- Aug 17 - 18 (Thur and Fri) from 1:00 - 5:00 pm
There is no charge for this class.
