About Rashmi Ramasubbaiah

Rashmi Ramasubbaiah, MD, is board certified in hematology and medical oncology. She combines advanced medicine – next-generation sequencing, molecular profiling – with personalized and empathetic care.

Originally from India, Dr. Ramasubbaiah received her undergraduate degree there before moving to the United States in 2001. She obtained her Master of Science in Biology from Western Kentucky University before completing her Internal Medicine residency at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She then completed her fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at Indiana University.

The same zeal Dr. Ramasubbaiah once had for the classroom now applies to each appointment at Marshall. “I genuinely care about patients,” said the former assistant professor for medical students, residents and oncology fellows. “I am so passionate about striving to make life better for our patients.”

When she is not working, Dr. Ramasubbaiah enjoys art and creative projects, crossword puzzles, cooking, reading and spending time with her family.
