Alzheimer's Legal and Financial Planning Seminar Co-Sponsored by Marshall Community Health Library

January 20, 2015— Marshall Community Health Library in Cameron Park is pleased to co-sponsor an upcoming Alzheimer’s Association’s Legal and Financial Planning seminar. The event will take place Thursday, February 12 from 2-4 p.m. at the Marshall Community Health Education building, 3581 Palmer Drive, Suite 501 in Cameron Park.

Elder law attorney Dustin MacFarlane will lead this interactive program teaching important legal and financial issues to consider when dealing with a family member suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease or similar dementia. Instruction will include how to put plans in place and how to access legal and financial resources near you. Topics will include: legal plans that fit your needs; legal documents and what they mean; locating legal and financial help; long-term care strategies; tax issues; government programs that can help pay for care.
