Paperless Billing at Marshall

Electronic billing statements begin Nov.1, 2023

To provide a more convenient, secure, and eco-friendly way to manage and pay your medical bills, Marshall will switch to paperless billing statements for most of our patients starting Nov.1, 2023.

What does paperless billing statements mean?

  • If you are signed up for the MyChart patient web portal or app, you will receive and view your Marshall statements electronically. You will no longer receive paper statements in the mail, unless you opt out of paperless statements.
  • If you are not signed up for MyChart, you will continue to receive paper billing statements from Marshall in the mail.

When will this take effect?

  • Our rollout of paperless billing statements will begin Nov.1, 2023.

How will I know that I have a new billing statement?

  • You will be notified by email and through MyChart.

How can I see my billing statements?

  1. First, log into MyChart.
  2. Once you’re inside and on the MyChart home page, go to the “Outstanding Balance” banner and click the “view details” button.
  3. This will take you to the “Billing for PatientName” page. The “Communication” tab allows you to see all statements, itemized statements of charges, and letters.

What if I still want to receive paper bills and statements?

Once enrolled, you simply opt-out of paperless statements. You can do this at any time. You can do this through your MyChart account. Or call Marshall’s Patient Billing Financial Counselors at 530-626-2618.
