Oxygen and Healing

The oxygen in blood plays a major role in the body’s ability to heal. When a wounded area of the body is cut off from blood or oxygen, it can be difficult, even impossible, for the wound to heal without treatment. If left unattended, the wound could develop an infection.

HBOT utilizes an advanced technology chamber saturated with pure oxygen. Open wounds are exposed to high amounts of oxygen, stimulating cell growth and recovery. The patient experiences more rapid healing from these specialized conditions.

Location

Marshall Wound Care and HBOT is located conveniently across from Marshall Hospital:

1095 Marshall Way, Suite 203 (second floor of the Family and Internal Medicine Office building)
Placerville, CA 95667
530-344-5496

Wound Care and HBOT services require a physician referral to ensure the treatment options are appropriate for each patient. If you or a loved one has a problem wound that may benefit from specialized wound care, discuss this option with your physician.
